Hope waits patiently in the ground of our being
Knowing she will eventually bloom anew
in our hearts. Hope, as the saying promises,
does spring eternal.
—Sue
Sometimes, especially during and after an emotional drought or a flood of difficulties, we need to reseed our internal gardens. Just as Mother Nature continually replenishes her plants by blowing seeds and pods to their new homes, we need to sow new seeds of hope. While we take it for granted that nature needs reseeding, and understand that it’s important to replace the flora and fauna in our stomachs after taking antibiotics, it’s equally important to accept that our own soul gardens need reseeding, too.
I don’t know about you, but it helps me to know that this is natural and normal. Then I’m able to stop resisting and gather the energy I need to start doing what needs to be done.
The first step is simply to accept the fact that we need to help hope bloom in our hearts.
An attitude of hope is one of the cornerstones for a meaningful and joyous life.
