Set and remember your intention. Because compassionate non-attachment is usually an acquired skill, we usually need to remind ourselves of our commitment to do it.


Creating affirmations reminding us it is okay to be non-attached is helpful. We might affirm:


  • With love and empathy, I can compassionately non-attach from _____________’s problem with _____________.

  • I love and support _____________ without being attached.

  • I trust ____________'s ability to move through this crisis constructively.

  • God is loving, holding, and guiding ____________ right now and always.
