Uncovering the Origin of Feeling

The most profound agents of creation are invisible. The two that spring to mind are God and thought. We enjoy the benefits and beauty of God’s creations each moment and reap the fruits of our thoughts throughout our entire lives. Whether our thoughts produce sweet or sour fruit is entirely up to us. It is a great kindness to fully embrace the idea that your thoughts are the origin of your feelings. Why? Because you have total control over your own thoughts, and consequently, you have the power to choose those that bring you happiness and discard those that don’t.

Imagine your mind as a garden and your thoughts as the seeds you plant. Habitual negative, unhealthy, self-critical thoughts produce the weeds and thistles of depression, discontent, and anxiety. Luckily, the opposite is also true. Consistently planting positive, healthy, constructive thoughts will yield a crop of beautiful feelings such as gratitude, love, and joy.
